Our Yoga Sessions with Dr. June Leavitt
Dr. June Leavitt has been devoted to the practice of yoga since the age of 22.
She became a certified yoga teacher in Israel at 58 and has taught continuously ever since, opening her own private studio in 2006 and leading classes in Kiryat Arba and Tekoa.
Over the years, her approach has gently evolved into what she calls Soft Yoga for Rejuvenation, a nurturing and accessible practice that honours the body’s changing needs with age. Her teaching focuses on ease, awareness, and restoration, helping students build strength while moving with kindness toward themselves.
Alongside her work in yoga, Dr. Leavitt holds a doctorate in literature and taught Foreign Literature at Ben Gurion University for over 20 years.
An educator at heart, she brings depth, insight, and sensitivity to everything she does.
Today, she combines her academic background and lifelong commitment to learning with her passion for wellbeing, guiding others toward greater harmony of body, mind, and soul. This integration of wisdom, compassion, and experience lies at the very essence of her teaching.
